Useful Websites>  Art Galleries as CPD Providers

"Many art galleries, like most 'educative' institutions, are offering excellent CPD opportunities for teachers.  And in many cases it goes beyond the confines of art."

CPD Update, October 2004

To find a local gallery, go to Listings by Area on www.artefact.co.uk (the website of Galleries magazine).  For comprehensiveness, go to www.uknetguide.co.uk .  In the left-hand sidebar click on Entertainment, then onto Museums and Galleries and finally on Art Galleries.  This will lead you to an alphabetical list of 111 galleries.  See also 'CPD in museums' in CPD Update March 2004.  Unless specifically noted, art galleries are closed at Christmas and new Year.
