Forum for New Reception Teachers
This is aimed at teachers who are new to the Foundation
Stage and wish to meet with colleagues to share and
develop their own practice. There is an open agenda
which is shaped by participants, previous topics have
centred around developing appropriate learning
environments, planning and outside play. While it is
desirable for teachers to attend all sessions, teachers

Foundation Stage Data - What does it Mean
This will explore how data gathered from the Foundation
Stage Profile at three points during the year can be
used to enhance provision and monitor children's
progress. There will be an expectation that some work
will occur in school between each session. It is aimed
at those who have experience of working with the
Profile. Foundation Stage Managers or assessment
co-ordinators who are not based in the Foundation Stage
may find it useful to attend, possibly with their
reception teacher.
