"The Challenge Award is an Award for Primary and
Secondary Schools that recognises and celebrates quality
whole school provision for Able, Gifted and Talented
pupils. The Award is separated into 10 Elements, which
provides schools with a Framework of criteria that
represents quality provision. Schools can use the
Framework as a self-evaluation and development tool to
audit and action plan for improvement. The Challenge Award
itself will be given to schools who can demonstrate,
through gathering of evidence from the Framework, that
they have met the criteria of the 10 Elements. The
Challenge Award has been designed for both primary and
secondary schools. NACE will work in partnership with LEAs
who wish to be accredited to assess schools for The
Challenge Award; providing training and quality assurance."
