Control Technology in Year 1 - Unit 1F:  Understanding instruction and making things happen

 

Unit 1F focuses on following, giving and recording instructions. Use of directional language and units of measurement as well as sequencing activities are also developed through this unit.

Pupils can discuss how things work, for example, a tape recorder and use it to play back sounds which they need to match to pictures, they can then record their own sounds and draw pictures to illustrate them.
