Control Technology with Early Years

Pupils need to learn about the technology they can identify around them. They need to see the technology working and discuss it. This can be illustrated through the use of several pieces of software.

  • Use Albert's House - discuss the technology that can be seen through exploring the house, what is it used for? Where else can it be found? How is it similar/different to items in the children's own home?

This is a screen grab from the Albert's House programme.

  • Use All About Weather - discuss how to use the television and video, talk about how to use the buttons and remote control to control the television.
This is a screen grab from the All About Weather programme.
