Using mobile technology in teaching and learning

Ian Southwell LSDA National e-Learning Network Co-ordinator (NeLSN), South West Region

Mobile technology such as mobile phones and PDAs are an effective way of engaging
young learners through a medium they understand and use every day. What a change it would be to tell your learners to turn ON their mobiles at the beginning of a lesson and use the inbuilt features to make learning memorable. Ian will also look at how SMS texting can help to improve attendance, provide services such as bullying helplines and keep learners informed. Please bring your mobile phone to this seminar.
