Assessment for learning Instant insight
|
Jon Allen Teaching and Learning Advisor, Promethean
|
Discover how you can get instant
insight into every learner’s understanding and
give immediate feedback on how each of your students is doing.
Until now assessment was very time consuming for teachers and
stressful for students but student ‘voting’ response systems
change this. Now teachers can prepare assessments quickly as
part of lesson structures, or even ad-hoc during lessons and can
even provide teachers with instant analysis of the pupil’s
responses. Results are automatically analysed and can be
displayed as charts or spreadsheets, ready to show the class or
use in reports. Pupils enjoy using the voting solutions and the
‘one question at a time’ approach is less intimidating than a
paper based test.
The presenter will use Promethean’s Activote to demonstrate the
potential of student ‘voting’ response systems.
