Local Authority Continuing Professional Development (CPD)PrimarySouth Gloucestershire provides a centrally organised programme of development and support for all NQTs. This programme is purchased by a school through CPD (link to page). SecondarySouth Gloucestershire NQTs in Secondary Schools are able to access subject specific network for subjects other than English, Maths, Sciene and ICT through Patchway Community High School, who are coordinating NQT networks across the authority. For NQTs in English, Maths, Science and ICT there are specific networks facilitated three times a year by Secondary Strategy advisers (Click here to view our PLC book online) Liz Townend (Liz.Townend@southglos.gov.uk) is the contact to whom NQTs should address their question when they email. Some NQTs will be visited by a member of the Learning & School Effectiveness Service as part of their Quality Assurance of Support offered to NQTs by their schools. Of course an NQT is entitled to access any training deemed to be necessary by their school through the CPD programme. |
