Roles and ResponsibilitiesAs a subject leaders your most accessible form of support from the Local Authority is from the subject specific Best Practice Forum which is offered for all national curriculum subjects through the Continuing Professional Development Programme. All schools have the opportunity to buy into the forum either as part of a 'package' or as an individual on an individual course. By attending the forum you will receive regular updates of current expectations on issues such as planning, monitoring and evaluation, information on resources, access to shared best practice and advance warning of forthcoming initiatives and events from Local Authority Advisers and Consultants with current experience. If your school does not subscribe you may be able to gain access to some materials, contact the forum facilitator as listed in the CPD Programme. From April 2006 the Learning and School Effectiveness Service will be developing additional resources and training to support the subject leaders in primary schools. |
