Level 2 Award / Certificate for Support Work in Schools
(CACHE)

Who is it for?
|
|
School Support staff i.e. school administrator, receptionist,
personal assistant, library assistant, data manager, technician,
IT support worker, learning resource assistant, caretaker, site
manager / assistant, mid-day supervisor, special educational
needs assistant or a learning support assistant.

What entry qualifications do you need?
|
|
No formal entry qualifications needed.
|
What will you learn?
|
|
How to recognise and assess the skills that you have gained in
your job as a school support worker and enhance our skills
within your current job role.
|
How will you be assessed?
|
|
An approved assessor will visit you in your workplace to assess
your practical work. You will also need to submit a
portfolio of evidence to show your knowledge and understanding
of the award.
|
Will there be practical placements during the course?
|
|
The award / certificate is work-based, so you will need to be
employed or working as a volunteer within a school setting.
|
How long do you have to complete the award?
|
|
You must complete the award within the registration
period. Your chosen Centre will be able to tell you this
before you register.
|
What other qualifications can you do when you finish this
award?
|
|
You will have the opportunity to move from a Level 2
qualification to higher level awards, e.g. CACHE Level 3
Certificate or NVQ3 in your chosen area.
