In South Gloucestershire there are many opportunities to become a Teaching Assistant.
As a Teaching Assistant you may work alongside a teacher in class, work with a small group of children in and outside of class or provide support for a child with particular needs.
This is a very rewarding job with opportunities to make progression.

CERTIFICATE FOR TEACHING ASSISTANTS
CACHE (Council for Awards in Children’s care and Education)
The Qualification has two units.
Each unit is separately assessed and certificated

 

What is the value of this certificate?

• Each Unit is a level 3 award which is recognised by South Gloucestershire. Education Service.
• Unit One + Unit Two or
• Unit One +Unit Three
• = new teaching assistant qualification at Level 3

 

 

How is the course structured?

• Each Unit is is 120 hours

 

How will I be assessed?

• Each units is assessed by an assignments
• These assignments are ‘substantial pieces of work’
• You will be supported to plan and write your work
• The assignments are graded on scale of A-E
• handwritten, typed or word processed
