Multimedia learning in literacy How to plan and teach it

Multimedia approaches and non-linear texts excite and enhance children’s
learning. This seminar will demonstrate how to integrate them throughout the teaching sequence. Some simple software will be used, because this allows children to make multimedia, non-linear texts easily but the techniques discussed can be achieved using programs that all teachers have.
From September 2006, multimodal texts and ICT will be fully integrated into the revised literacy framework. (If you are not sure what multimodal texts are, this seminar will not only tell you but also show you what fun they are!).
